“Fostering People Who Plant Trees”
Yasuda Fire & Marine Insurance Inc.(current Sompo Holdings, Inc.) launched the Yasuda Fire & Marine Environment Foundation (current Sompo Environment Foundation) in 1999 to contribute to the protection of global environment as part of the company’s efforts to fulfill its corporate social responsibility. With the motto of “Fostering People Who Plant Trees,” among other things, the Foundation helps develop the capabilities of persons active in the environmental field, supports activities and research relating to environmental conservation, and works to promote environmental education.
